Ground Zero Memory

  • 6.   Do you have a memory like a sieve, that is, can’t remember a simple sentence you’ve just read several times?

In the labyrinth of my mind, memories drift like autumn leaves, elusive and fleeting. I find myself grappling with the frustration of a memory that seems to have grown as porous as a sieve, unable to retain even the simplest of details. Each day feels like a delicate balancing act, as I struggle to hold onto the threads of my past while navigating the complexities of the present.

It's a disconcerting sensation, to read a sentence multiple times only to find it slipping through the cracks of my mind like grains of sand. Simple tasks that once required little thought now demand an extraordinary effort of concentration and focus, as I find myself grasping at fragments of information that seem to dissolve into the ether as soon as they are apprehended.

The causes of memory struggles are as varied as they are numerous – from hormonal fluctuations to stress, sleep disturbances, and the natural aging process itself. I find myself particularly susceptible to the cognitive changes associated with perimenopause and menopause, which can wreak havoc on my ability to think clearly and retain information.

Memory struggles are not a reflection of my worth or intelligence. Rather a natural part of the human experience. By practising self-compassion and patience, I can begin to cultivate a greater sense of acceptance and understanding towards myself.

There are strategies and techniques that can help mitigate the impact of memory struggles, such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, engaging in regular exercise, getting adequate sleep, and practicing mindfulness meditation. Enlisting support from a coach or other healthcare professional can also provide valuable insights and strategies for managing memory difficulties.

If you are struggling with memory issues, there’s no shame in asking for help. By embracing the inherent imperfections of the human mind and cultivating self-compassion, we can begin to navigate the complexities of memory struggles with grace and resilience.

I have access to an amazing new tool, developed by my business partner, David McCoy, called AumoniX.

Enlisting the power of specific, coordinated sound frequencies, it’s the quickest, most effective, and permanent way of helping the brain to create new neural pathways. If this resonates with you and you don’t know how to begin, call me, Vicki, on 0423 314 121 for a complimentary 15-minute chat. I have excellent tools and strategies that will assist and support you.
